Photocopy of a handwritten letter dated 12 April 1867 and a newspaper clipping dated 17 July 1858. In the letter Brigham Young calls Ira Hinkley to settle Cove Creek and to build a fort there. The building is known as Cove Fort. The newspaper clipping shows a photograph of the fort.
